All you need is a computer, access to a stable internet, and to have successfully completed the onboarding process. Of course, you also need the willingness to work and openness to learn and grow, to succeed on the platform.

You have 96 hours (4 days) to complete and submit all three writing tests. You will not be paid for the writing test as they are part of the onboarding process to assess your writing skill and fit for the platform.

Yes, you can take the test again, you, however, have to wait for 90 days before your next attempt. Kindly use the same account to take the test again, avoid creating multiple accounts as this would lead to you being banned from the platform.

Writer's Thrive offers a competitive pay rate starting from 300 Kenyan Shillings per 500 words. With this, you can earn up to 100,000 Kenyan Shillings depending on how much you work. Payments of work done will be paid via Western Union or Mpesa (for Kenyan writers) every Tuesday of every week based on East African Time without delay.

Seeing as we hire talent from all over the world our primary method of payment is via Western Union. But as we are a Kenyan based company , Writers from Kenya get paid using a local Payment method called Mpesa. When paying through Western Union, we will issue you the copy of transfer receipt that you can use to receive your money at a local Western Union agent. When paying via Mpesa the money is sent directly on your Mpesa phone so you should access it easily.

Writer's Thrive is a Kenyan based platform and therefore pays in the Kenyan currency. However, for writers outside of Kenya, you will receive an equivalent amount of your payment in your country's currency when you receive your money through Western Union.

So, for example, if you are a writer based in South Africa, Writer's Thrive will pay you in Kenyan Shillings, but when receiving the money from your local Western Union agent you will be given the equivalent amount in Rands.

Similarly, if you are a writer based in India your payments will be done in Kenyan Shillings but you will receive the equivalent in Rupees from your local Western Union Agent.

Once your payment is cleared, Writer's Thrive will send you a copy of the transfer receipt containing the MTCN tracking number. Visit a local Western Union agent with the copy of the receipt and your national identification document or passport to receive your payment.

MTCN stands for Mobile Transfer Control Number. It is a unique 10-digit tracking number assigned to a money transfer. You can find the MTCN on the transfer receipt we provide you with. Use this MTCN to track your payment transfer or collect the payment from a local Western Union agent.
